I was very excited when I opened my Papercraft Society box to see that this months designer was no other than Time For Tea Designs. Anyone that has followed by Instagram previously will know how much I love there designs and so could not wait to get started but of course life had other plans so it has taken me a while to actually get to play with my box
I have had this idea for a little while and originally wanted just the butterfly to pop up but this one has messed with my mind and I just have not been able to get the dimensions right for you to not be able to see the mechanism. So back to the drawing board and I created this sort of floating pop up card instead
Love this design and do not use it enough. It folds perfectly flat and goes into a standard 9 by 7 inch envelope. This card is for my 13 year old daughter who is at that age that is way too old for cute but thinks she is years older than her brain development stage. It is a tough age to parent and even tougher to make birthday cards for!
The Miss P loves boundless journal was part of one of the papercraft society boxes and is not something I would normal have purchased so I am excited to be doing something out side of my comfort. I thought it was going to be difficult however it was surprising easy and I am already working at adapting this so that my guides can make boundless journals in the bleak winter months when we can not get them outside much
I do love a shutter card but I think that is more because I am obsessed with watching the mechanism. While making this one I suddenly thought what if we have an acetate window so we can really see the mechanism in all its glory and so this shutter card was born
This is one of those ideas that I have had for ages, I was just not sure how exactly to execute it. I knew the stamp set I wanted to use. I just did not know what background would really work. But I think this is perfect
