Bench Fold Card

This is one of those ideas that I have had for ages, I was just not sure how exactly to execute it. I knew the stamp set I wanted to use. I just did not know what background would really work. But I think this is perfect

There is a YouTube video over on my channel if you want to create one too and find my step by step a little confusing. I do sometimes struggling trying to write what I have done

Card Making Instructions

I begun with a sheet of card measuring 8 inch by 5 inch. This was scored at 1,2,6 & 7 inch. From left to right these scores were folded as mountain, valley, valley, mountain

A seperate sheet of card was cut to measure 6 by 3 inch. This was score on the short edge at 1 1/2 and 2 1/2. It was then turned onto the long edge and scored at 1 and 5 up to the second score line only. The corners were then cut away.

A third peice of card was cut measuring 5 by 3/4 inch and scored at 1/2 and 4 1/2

The window frame was created by using 2 of the square nesting dies. The window pane was created by using the mama elephant peek frame and trimming this down with scissors to fit within the square. These were glued together

Using the cloud part of the scene it stencil and the tumbled glass the clouds were created and glued behind the window frame

Red card was used with the brick embossing folder and then the embossed card rubbed with the rich coco memento dew drop and vintage photo distress oxide. This was cut to create 2 panels measuring 2 inch by 5 inch and was scored at the 2 inch mark. It was then turned onto its long side and scored at 1 1/2 inch up to the score line only. This was trimmed away

The panel that we had created in step 2 was embossed using the wood grain folder and rubbed with the momento dew drop in rich coco

A piece of white card was cut to measure 3 1/2 by 4 inch and the tile stencil used with the pumice stone. This was also put through the die cutting machine with the stencil to give a slight embossed look.

Taking the original card base we created in step one, I placed some pencil marks at 1 1/2 inch high within the recess and attached the tiny strip so that that the top of this was in line with the 1 1/2 inch marks. The tiled panel was also added.

The window panel and wood grain panel were added to the front and the brick sides added

The stamps were coloured and die cut and the scene created. 2 small shelves were created for the utensils using the same technique as the wood panel on the front

The top of the cooker was created by cutting a scrap of white card, colouring using C1 Copic marker and adding some tiny circles of black card
