Interlocking Accordion Card

An interlocking accordion card today. I loved this fold so much I decided last minute to change how I planned to decorate it so that the card fold itself does most of the wowing

The video can be found here

Card Making Instructions:-

Starting with 2 sheets of A4 card (approximately 11 1/2 inch long) these were both trimmed to 6 inch wide. One of these was trimmed to 11 1/4 inch, the second one was kept at 11 1/2 inch.

On the short of the 2 sheets score at 3 3/4 inch and 7 1/2 inch and on the longer sheet score at 3 3/4, 71/2 and 11 1/4

Use the large rectangle die to cut a hole into the panel of the card. One the longer of the 2 sheets this needs to be in the panel next to the 1/4 inch flap

Using the flap the 2 sheets of card were glued together

6 panels of mirror card were cut to measure 5 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inch. The next size up rectangle die was cut into 2 of these.

6 sheets of patterned paper was cut to measure 5 1/4 by 3 1/4. Into 2 a rectangle was cut using the same die that was used on the mirror card. These were then glued onto the pink card panels accordingly.

2 Pieces of black card were cut measuring 6 x 4 inch and 6 1/2 by 4 inch. The smaller of the 2 pieces was scored at 2 and 4 inch. The larger of the 2 was scored at 2, 4 and 6 inch. These were then folded as a concertina.

There were opened back out and on the short edge alternative panels were scored at 1/2 inch, on both sidesThe original score line were then cut up to these score marks.

Using a craft knife, cutting mat and ruler the 1/2 was cut away on alternative panels. The two pieces of card were glued together using the small tab created on the larger piece of card

6 pieces of  mirror card was cut measuring 3 1/4 by 1 1/2 with layers created measuring 3 by 1 1/4 and these were adhered together

This was then glued onto the original card base, by passing through the 2 windows you have created using the die. Please see picture below and video for clarity

The panels were then decorated using the butterfly and flower ephemera and finished with black sequins
