Card Making Instructions

To begin you need card in the following measurements

(x1) 6 x 6 1/2 inch

(x3) 5 x 6 1/2 inch

(x2) 4 x 6 1/2 inch

(x1) 3 x 6 1/2 inch

On the 6 1/2 inch edge these all want scoring at 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2 and 6 

Add glue onto the half inch tab and glue so this is on the inside of the pillars

Onto the largest pillar add mats and layers which measure

(x2) Mat 1 1/4 x 5 3/4

(x2) Layer 1 x 5 1/2

Cut 2 pieces of card which measure 5 x 3 inch and apply glue down approximately 1/4 inch of the 5 inch edge.

These want to be added so they sit on the centre fold of the pillar which has the mats and layers on. (See video for clarity)

Add glue onto the very edge of the 5 inch pillars and join the card you have just added. These want to line up down the centre

Add the 3rd pillar in between the gap in the 2 pillars in the photo below

You need 6 mats and layers to decorate this level.

These measure

Mat 1 1/4 x 4 3/4 

Layer 1 x 4 1/2

Decorate all the panels except for the 2 in the middle

Cut 2 pieces of card measuring 3 x 4 inch and glue these onto the 4 inch pillars

These are then glued onto the outer largerpillars using 1/4 inch of glue on the edge ( Please see video for clarity)

These are again decorated.

For this you need 6 

Mats 1 1/4 x 3 3/4

Layer 1 x 3 1/2

You need 4 mats and layers measuring

1 1/4 x 3/4

1 x 1/2 for the top of the panels in the middle

You need to cut 2 pieces of card measuring 3 x 3 and glue these to the back of the 3 inch pillar.

This is then glued into the gap in the photo above

Before being decorated with Mats and layers measuring

1 1/4 x 2 3/4

1 x 2 1/2

You then need a piece of card measuring 1/4 x 3 inch and this wants scoring at 1/2, 1 , 2 , 2 1/2

Add glue onto the tabs and glue either side of the middle score line directly up to the fold

The image was stamped, coloured and fussy cut out and adhered onto this piece of card
