This card was a bit of a pain to figure out the measurements on but I got there eventually. I do hope you like it
I do of course have a video up on my YouTube Channel

Card Making Instructions
Begin with a sheet of card measuring 6 by 11 1/2 inch. On the short edge pencil lines vertically at 1 1/2, 3 and 4 1/2 inch
Turn the card so it is now long edge at the top and in the
first penciled column score at 2, 2 3/4, 8 3/4, 9 1/2
second penciled column score at 2 3/4, 3 1/2, 8, 8 3/4
third penciled column score at 3 1/2, 4 1/4, 7 1/4, 8
forth column score at 4 1/4, 5, 6 1/2, 7 1/4
Cut a piece of card measuring 6 by 6 1/2 inch
On the 6 inch edge draw pencil marks at 1 1/2, 3 and 4 1/2
Turn the card so the long edge is back at the top and score vertically all the way down at 3/4 inch.
In the top penciled column score at 2 3/4, 3 1/2
Second penciled column score at 3 1/2, 4 1/4
Third penciled column score at 4 1/4, 5
Fourth Penciled column score at 5 and 5 3/4
Take a second piece of card measuring 6 by 6 1/2 inch
Again on the 6 inch side pencil lines at 1 1/2, 3 and 4 1/2 inch
Turn the card so the 6 1/2 inch is at the top and score all the way down at 5 3/4
In the top penciled column score at 3 and 3 3/4
In the second penciled column score at 2 1/4 and 3
In the third penciled column score at 1 1/2 and 2 1/4
In the fourth pencil column score at 3/4 and 1 1/2 inch
Look at the pictures below and cut the orange lines on your card pieces
Take the large piece of card and fold the score lines from the left so they are mountain, valley, valley, mountain
Take the small piece of card which has the full length score line at 3/4 inch. Working from the left fold this valley, mountain, valley
With the final piece of card working from the left fold valley, mountain, valley
Add glue to the 2 3/4 inch tabs and join to the large card base
Mats and layers were added to the 2 large stepped panels on the large piece of card. These measure
Mat 1 1/4 x 4 (x2) Layer 1 x 3 3/4 (x2)
Mat 1 1/4 x 3 1/4 (x2) Layer 1 x 3 (x2)
Mat 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 (x2) Layer 1 x 2 1/4 (x2)
Mat 1 1/4 x 1 3/4 (x2) Layer 1 x 1 1/2 (x2)
You then need 4 of each of the following mats and layers. 2 of these sets are for the inside of the card base and one for the outside
Mat 1/2 x 1 1/4 (x4) Layer 1/4 x 1 (x4)
Mat 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 (x4) Layer 1 x 1 (x4)
Mat 2 x 1 1/4 (x4) Layer 1 3/4 x 1 (x4)
Mat 2 3/4 x 1 1/4 (x4) Layer 2 1/2 x 1 (x4)
To create templates for the stepped panels you need some scrap paper fr the mat this needs to measure 4 x 5 3/4,
With the long edge at the top draw pencil lines all the way down at 1 1/4, 2 3/4, 4 1/4
Turn the paper so the short edge is at the top and measure in
2 1/4 inch from the right in the first row
1 1/2 inch from the right in the second row
3/4 inch from the right in the third row
Cut away the top 3 right rows upto the line
For the layer template you need a piece of card measuring 3 3/4 by 5 1/2
With the long edge at the top draw pencil lines at 1, 2 1/2 and 4 inch.
Turn so the shorter edge is now at the top and measure
2 1/4 inch from the right in the first row
1 1/2 inch from the right at the second row
3/4 inch from the right at the third row
Cut away the steps on the right
USe your template to draw around 4 pieces of card to act as a mat. You will need to draw around 2 with the steps on the left and turn it over for the other 2 so the steps are on the right
Add these to the inside and the fount of the card
Take your mat template, turn it so the steps are on your left and the widest part is at the top. Measure in 3 1/2 inch from the left and cut this away
Do the same with the layer but measure 3 1/4 inch from the left and again cut away
Draw around this template and then flip it, line it up the bottom step is covered and draw around the other side. Cut out
The mat and layer was stuck in the middle and on the back for a message
The card panel was then decorated with the die cuts and the sentiment
This is absolutely amazing! Great tutorial, I am going to give it a go.
