Easy Concertina

I was approached a little while ago and asked to make my concertina card easier. I have altered it so it is not exactly the same but this pop out delight is still as eye catching and requires no speciality dies to create the card base

There is a video up on my YouTube Channel

Card Making Instructions

Start with a piece of card measuring 7 by 10 inch

On the short edge score at 1 1/4 and 5 3/4

On the long edge score all the way down at 5 and  between the edge of the paper and the score lines score at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 3 3/4, 6 1/4, 7 1/2, 8 3/4,

Down the centre panel of the card score at 3 1/2 and 6 1/2.

The score lines should look like the template below

you then need to cut the original score lines between 1 1/4 and 8 3/4
I have highlighted this in orange on the template

Fold the edges so that they concertina by folding the first score line as a valley, the next as a mountain and alternating

Fold the middle panels as a valley, mountain, valley

Take a piece of card measuring 7 by 10 inch and score at 5 to create the card base

Adhere the 2 together

The embossing folder was used to create layers the measurements are below

Mats 1 1/4 by 4 1/4
Layers 1 by 4

Mats 3 1/4 by 4 1/4
Layers 3 by 4

Mats 1 by 1
Layers 3/4 by 3/4

To create the pop of mechansim so that it can fold flat you need a piece of card measuring 3 1/2 by 1 inch
This wants scoring at 3/4, 1 1/4,2 1/4 and 2 3/4

Fold this so that it is a valley, mountain, mountain, valley

Using the 2 tabs you have created these were glued either side of the centre fold

The image was stamped, coloured and die cut out and adhered onto the flat part of this mechanism

The sentiments were die cut and applied

The front was decorated with
 Mats 6 3/4 by 4 3/4
Layers 6 1/2 by 4 1/2
Some die cut circles and the sentiment

Thank you for reading
