My inspiration for this card came from a Karen Burniston Card that I found on Pintrest. I love how the 3 panels float across the card base
There is a video up on YouTube Channel and you may find this useful especially for producing the mechanism

Card Making Supplies
I begin by creating the card base, This was done using a sheet of card measuring 11 1/2 x 8 1/4. On the longside this was scored at 5 3/4 and folded as a valley to create the card base
Mats and Layers were applied to both inside panels. These measured
Mats 5 1/2 x 8
Layers 5 1/4 x 7 3/4
To create the mechanism, you need 2 pieces of card measuring 1 x 2 1/4.
Draw a pencil line at 1/2 inch on both.
On the first one put a pencil mark at the top at 1/4 and 1 1/4 inch
On the second piece put a pencil mark at the bottom at 1/4 and 1 1/4 inch
On the first piece score from the 1/4 inch mark to the opposite edge at the 1/2 inch mark. Then score from the 1/2 inch point to the opposite edge at 1 1/4. Then from the 1 1/4 to the opposite corner at 2 1/4. Cut down this final score line. (See video for clarity)
Do the same with the second piece this should give you a mirror image
Fold the score lines so they are mountains
Place glue on the end triangle and adhere onto the card base in the same position as the photo below. The point of the triangle is flush with the edge of the card and in line with the centre fold.
With the mechanism laid flat place glue on the parallelogram where my finger is pointing in the photo
Join this upto the score line on the bottom inside of the rectangle you created earlier (See video for clarity)
Do this on both sides. Then squash the rectangle flat and place glue on the small side closest to the centre fold. Close the card
You need 3 pieces of card which measure 3 x 2 1/2
Onto these I have added mats 2 1/4 x 2 3/4
Layers 2 x 2 1/2
Which I have decorated with the stamps and die cuts
I punch holes in all 4 corners, using a hole punch. I did this by lining up the corner of the silver card with the opposite edge of my hole punch
I decided which two I wanted on the outer edges and using a strip of scrap paper measuring 1 inch I line them up. The scrap paper was flush with the bottom edge of the card and the panel we are gluing was flush with edge.
Gue was added to the short edge of the rectangle and the card closed
Twine was used to lace all 3 together
The sentiment an die cuts were added
The front panel of the card was decorated by adding
Mat 8 x 5 1/4
Layer 7 3/4 by 5
a sentiment and uvo drops
Thanks for reading
