I have looked at so many spinning cards but the mechanisms always make me feel like I need a degree in engineering. So I have simplified it with no speciality dies needed for the mechanism

Card making instructions
To create my card base I begun with a sheet of 11 by 5 1/2 inch card and scored this at 5 1/2 on the long edge
The mats and layers measure
5 1/4 by 5 1/4
5 by 5 for the layer I used the stencil and the distress oxide
I added the trees stamp from the creative stamping magazine which I had coloured and fussy cut out using foam tape. This was place to one side to dry so I could make my mechanism
To create the mechanism I begun with a piece of card measuring 1 by 4 inch. This was scored at 1, 2 1/2, 3 1/4 inches. Fold at the 2 1/2 score line and with the shortest part facing up.
Measure on the short edge 1/2 an inch. ( see video for clarity)
Take a scoring tool and ruler and score from this mark to the top corner of your next score line. (See video for clarity).
Open the card up and fold these score lines in.
You then need another piece of card measuring 1 inch by 1 inch. Draw a line through this at 1/2 inch on both edges to create a cross in the middle and cut away a quatre of the square
Take a scoring tool and score from the corner above to the corner you have just removed and fold in
Open the larger piece of mechanism out so the the folded triangle is at the bottom and on the longest part of the mechanism is on your left. Put glue on the right hand triangle and add the L shaped piece from the step above. This wants to lay so the the longest part is facing the longest part of the mechanism and the shortest part is on the triangle. See picture below or video for clarity
Fold the mechanism back up but keep the longest part on the left side. We now need to glue this into the card base. To do this add glue onto the underside tab and line it up with the centre fold of the card base
Once secure add glue the tab at the centre and close the card base. Give a few moments to dry before attempting to use the mechanism.
I then used 3 nesting dies to create my topper. The diameters of these were
3 1/4 inch
2 7/8th inch
2 1/4 inch
Again I used the stencil on the smallest circle and stamped my sentiment which was from the same magazine. I used the Momento dew drop ink for this. On the mechanism now dry I folded the centre fold of the L shaped piece so it was folded back on itself and with the card open 90 degrees I added my circle so the sentiment was the right way up.
I added a small piece of acetate measuring 1/2 by 2 inch to the back of my largest circle and closed the card to ensure that I could not see it. Once happy I added a balloon stamped which I had coloured and fussy cut out. I added the second to the circle directly so ensure it stayed within the card when closed.
The mats and layers for the front measure the same as inside and I cut the sentiment but it felt a little lost on the front. So I drew around the die and cut it out to make it bolder. The final stamped image was added using foam tape
