Pop Up Card

This is one of those creations that started out as something else but evolved. I had intended for it to a stadium wave card initially. But in actual fact it turned out to be a super easy pop up card

There is of course a video up on YouTube channel

Card Making Instructions

Begin with a sheet card measuring 5 3/4 by 11 1/2 inch and score at 5 3/4

For the matts and layers I have:

4 sheets of silver measuring 5 1/2 by 5 1/2, 3 sheets of blue measuring 5 1/ by 5 1/4 and 1 sheet of white measuring 5 1/4 by 5 1/4

These were glued as mats and layers and on one of the blue pieces I stamped my sentiment and some of the swirls from the build em up flower set

These were glued into the card base with the white one being glued onto the back for the message

For the mechanism you need 5 sheets of card measuring 1 1/2 by 8 1/2 inch. These need scoring at 1/2, 3 1/2, 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 inch

Starting with the 1/2 inch end, fold this as a mountain, valley, mountain, valley and glue the 1/2 inch part as a tab (see video for clarity)

Place glue onto the back of one and line it up with top of the blue you have stamped the sentiment on, about 2/8th from the edge

Do exactly the same at the other side

Onto the two of these place glue on the top half closest tot he middle and add another two of the mechanism pieces (See video for clarity)

Add Glue to the edges closest to the middle and add the final piece. Before adding glue to the top of the final piece

Fold the card base closed and this will complete the pop up mechanism

I stamped and die cut my flowers, colouring using the distress oxides and glued these onto the mechanism. See the video for where to glue so the card will fold flat

The front fanel was then finished using the jumbo sentiment and a flower on foam tape. With the nuvo drops to finish it off

Thank you for reading
