Faceted Double Easel Card

I got my inspiration for this from a pinterest post by Sam Calcott. She had created a faceted double easel card but I changed it to create a double and am using slightly different measurements. I will link the original design at the bottom of this post

There is a YouTube tutorial up on my channel you can find it here

Card Making Instructions

Begin with 2 sheets of card measuring 11 1/2 by 6 inch and score at 3, 6 and 9 inch on both sheets

on the shoet side make a mark at 3 inch. Come in 1/2 inch and make another mark on score between these. See video for clarity.

You then need to score between the middle marks. Again please see video for clarity. Fold the original score line as a mountain and cut the horizontal line

Push the 4 score lines in to create a diamond

Complete on both sheets of card and then glue the middle panels one over the top of the other

To create the decoration you need

x4 2 3/4 inch by 5 3/4 inch

x4 2 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch.

Take the bigger sheets and on the long side mark at 2 7/8th inch then come in from this mark 1/4 inch and make a mark. On the opposite long side make a mark 1/2 inch from the top and bottom and join these to the last mark you made. Cut these lines

On the patterned paper on the long side make a mark at 2 3/4 inch, on the opposite long side mark 1/4 inch from top and bottom and join as before. Then cut (See video for clarity)

Glue these a matts and layers and add to card base

The stamps were stamped and coloured and glued behind the diamonds so they can be seen when stood up

The mechanism in the middle was created to hold the sides in place and needs

x1 5 3/4 by 2 1/2

x1 5 1/2 by 2 1/4 (Patterned)

x1 5 1/4 by 2 (White)

My sentiment was stamped and heat embossed in silver and the 3 pieces of card were adhered together. The panel was then added to the card base using foam tape
