Slider Card

This slider card uses no speciality dies, just a trusty old craft knife and the free stamp set from Creative Stamping Issue number 136.

There is a step by step video on how to create the card, including the mechanism on my YouTube Channel Inky Inspiration. Click the video below for the link

Cardmaking Instructions

I begun with a piece of card measuring 5 1/2 by 5 1/2 inch. Onto this was glued a sheet of the printed digital paper measuring 5 1/2 by 5 1/4

This was scored 1 inch down from the top of the card base at 1 1/2 and 4 3/4. These score lines continue down until they reach the 4 3/4 mark.
The card panel was then turned 90 degree and score between the 2 score marks you have just created on bottom edge only.

Using a craft knife and ruler these 3 score lines were cut

Laying the card base on your score board so the bottom of the flap is on your left, score at 1/4, 2 3/4 and 4 1/2. These should be folded as valley, mountain, valley. A circle cutter was also used to create a small semi circle to act as a thumb hole at the top of the card panel

A second piece of card was cut measuring 3 1/2 by 4 1/4. The card panel was flipped over and this panel was glued to the tab on the end of the flap. Ensuring that it is flush to the tab

A card base was created by cutting a sheet of card to 11 by 5 1/2 and folding at 5 1/2 inch. A panel of the digital paper was place in the centre of the care base and the happy birthday was stamped

The slider panel was then adhered onto the card base using foam tape. Nesting circles were cut using the craft card and digital paper and adhered together but this cold easily be achieved with a circle cutter

This was then glued onto the moving tab, ensuring that it sat just above the first score line

The images were stamped, coloured and fussy cut out before being arranged within the circle

The sentiment was stamped in the top right corner and the panel was finished with nuvo drops
