I adore how this has turned out, the floated panel looks so elegant and no special dies required

Cardmaking Instructions
Begin with a sheet of A4 which is trimmed along the long side to measure 11 inch. On the long side score at 2 3/4, 5 1/4, 5 3/4, 8 1/4
Flip the sheet on card to the short side is at the top and score at 1 1/4 and 7 inch
Using a craft knife and a ruler, cut out the large square you have created in the centre of the card base
You then need to fold the score lines so starting on the left hand side of the card base, fold a valley, mountain, mountain and then finally a valley
Trim a piece of acetate to measure 8 by 1/4 inch and adhere this onto the back of the card base in the grove you have created in the centre
Patterned paper was cut measuring 2 1/2 by 8 inch (x4), 2 1/4 by 1 inch (x4) and 1/4 by 1 inch (x2). These were glued onto the appropriate panels
I cut 2 ovals in the blue card and 2 in white slightly smaller, for this I did use dies but this could easily be adapted to a any shape you are confident to cut with scissors
These were glued onto either side of the acetate
The images were stamped and coloured onto one of the white ovals. A number were also stamped, coloured and fussy cut out. I applied nuvo drops and left this to dry overnight while I worked on the belly band
To create the belly band I took a piece of blue card which had been cut to 1 1/4 inch by 11 1/4 and folded this around the closed card and glued the edges.
Circles were cut using the blue card and a smaller white card. Again for this I used dies but could easily have been achieved using a circle cutter. These were glued over the join in the belly band. Images were applied using foam tape and the sentiment was heat embossed.
The belly band was then finished with nuvo drops
