Flip Flap Card - Sweet November Stamps New Release

Time for a another new release over at Sweet November Stamps as as always the ladies from Crafty Purple Frog have been asked to participate in the Instagram and YouTube hop.

I really could not decide which stamps to use from the Berry Love set and so decided to use a flip flap shutter design to show off two scenes.

The YouTube Hop starts tomorrow so be sure to check back then for the video

Card Making Instructions

I begun by stamping out my 2 scenes on 2 separate sheets of alcohol friendly marker paper and colouring these up

2 sheets of red card where cut to 7 1/4 by 6 inch. On one of these sheets a rectangle was cut from the middle to leave an inch border all the way around. This was done using my guillotine, but could be done with a craft knife and ruler or a die machine. I cut a piece of patterned paper in the same way but this was 3/4 inch wide and glued this on

The mechanisms were created by cutting 3 pieces of card to measure 2 3/4 by 6 inch. On the long side these were scored at 1 and 5 inch. On the short side it was scored at 1 inch and then just on the outside of the score lines at 2 inch. This was cut to look like the image below

This was then glued onto the card back, using the 2 tabs at the top ( in the above image) ensuring that it was exactly at the corners

The next one was glued in the same way but ensuring that it is flush with the one already laid down

The same was done for the final piece. The scene was then cut into 3! and glued onto each panel

The panels were flipped over and the same done for the back of the panels

It was all flipped back and glue was adhered onto the tabs and the front panel adhered
