Double Shadow Box Card

My idea here was to create a little santas grotto and I do love the finished result. It is really easy and will fit into a standard sized envelope

As always there is a video up on my YouTube Channel

Card Making Instructions

Begin with a sheet of card measuring 6 x 8 1/2 and add mats and layers to this.

Mat 5 3/4 x 8 1/4

Layer 5 1/2 x 8

To create the boxes you need 2 pieces of card measuring 5 x 11 1/4 and these need to be scored at 3, 5 1/2, 8 1/2 and 11 inch

With the 1/4 inch tab of your right hand side use a pencil and ruler to mark 1/4 inch in on all four sides of the 2nd panel.

Cut out these lines to create your windows

Add glue to the 1/4 inch tab and create the box

Decorate both the inside back panel and 2 outside side panels using your decorative papers.

For this you need

4x 2 3/4 x 4 3/3

4x 2 1/2 x 4 1/2

2 x2 1/4 x 4 3/4

2x 2 x 41/2

For the inside of the boxes you need 2 pieces of card measuring 1 x 5 inch and these need scoring at 1 1/4 and 3 3/4

Glue is added onto the tabs and these are placed inside the box, pushed up to the front. See video for clarity.

The images were stamped, coloured and fussy cut out and glued into the boxes.

The 2 boxes are then glued onto the back base. These are in line with the outside edges and the bottom

The sentiment was heat embossed and cut out and both the sentiment and santa were applied using foam tape.

The front of the boxes was then finished with the nuvo drops
