Card Making Instructions
Begin with a sheet of card measuring 11 by 8 inch. With the 8 inch length at the top score at 1 1/2, 2 3/4, 5 1/4, 6 1/2
Turn the card 90 degrees and score at 2 inch and 9 inch
Mark the centre of the middle panel at 1 1/4 inch and score from there to the opposite corner of the last score mark. (The crosses on the white paper are score lines)
Thn cut the green lines
Now fold the card so that the first score is a mountain, next valley, valley, mountain
Fold the cut cuts back on themselves so you are shortening the height of the card and glue then on the outer panel (See video for clarity)
Fold the diagonal lines as mountains and the vertical lines within this as valleys
Panels measuring 7 by 2 1/2 were added over the outer panels to create a 5 by 7 card when folded
Mats and layers were added measuring
6 3/4 by 2 1/4
6 1/2 by 2
1 by 6 3/4
3/4 by 6 1/2
To create the diamonds cut
1 piece measuring 2 1/4 by 1 3/4 and mark at 1 1/8 on the long side and 7/8 on the short side.
1 piece measuring 2 by 1 1/2 and mark at 1 on the long side and 3/4 on the short side
Join these up and cut away
The mats and layers for the middle panel measure
2 1/4 by 6 3/4
2 by 6 1/2
The image was stamped, coloured and die cut. Dimension was added using nuvo drops to the star and baubles before being added to the card base using foam tape.
