Stand up Shaker Card

OhI have forgotten how much I enjoy making scene cards, it felt so good to dust off my copic markers and create this adorable christmas card. You could use what ever you want on the main panel, pre printed images, ephemera or stamps just have fun

I did not video the colouring, but the video for the card base can be found here

Card Making Instructions

Begin with a sheet of card measuring 5 1/2 by 9 1/2 and on the long edge score at 5 1/2, 6 1/4, 8 1/4 and 9 inch

Make a mat seauring 5 1/4 by 5 1/4 and a layer measuring 5 by 5 inch and adhere these onto the largest panel you just created

Fold the score line directly under the mat and layer  as a valley, the next as a valley, then the following 2 as mountains. Place glue on the tab and glue this over the mat and layer. See video for clarity.

The decoration of these measure
Mat 5 1/4 by 1/2 and layer 5 by 1/4
Mat 5 1/4 by 1 3/4 and layer 5 by 1 1/2

To create the front panel take a piece of coloured card measuring 6 1/4 by 4 1/4 ad on the long side score at 5 and 5 3/4.
I adhered a mat onto this which measures 4 1/4 by 4 3/4

This was then glued into the centre of the card base already created

The Mat for the top panel is 4 1/4 by 1/2
Layer 4 by 1/4

Onto a panel of alcohol friendly card stock measuring 4 by 4 1/2 I stamped my image and created my scene

I cut a piece of acetate to measure 5 by 4 1/2 and scored each edge at 1/4 inch. I trimmed the corners of diagonally and slid the image inside, securing with tape of the 3 sides. Please see video for clarity

The pocket was filled with white sequins and the final edge sealed with tape on the back

The shaker panel was then adhered to the mat already on the front panel of the card base

The sentiment was then stamped, fussy cut out and adhered using foam tape
