Card Making Instructions

The card base was created by using a piece of card measuring 11 1/2 by 81/4 inch and scoring at 5 3/4 on the long side

To create the inside insert you need a sheet of card measuring 8 1/4 by 11 and to score it at 5 1/2 on the long edge. Put a pencil mark 1 inch either side of the score line at 4 1/8 (short edge)  On the short edges mark each edge 1 1/4 inch in from the corner and make a pencil line from these to the centre middle line and cut this out

To create the mats and layers for this cut mats measuring 3 3/4 by 5 1/4. Put a pencil mark 1 1/4 inch from the bottom corner and a pencil line up to the opposite top corner. Cut this out

To create the layer cut a sheet of patterned paper measuring 3 1/2 by 5. Put a pencil mark 1 inch from the bottom corner and a pencil line up to the opposite top corner. Cut this out 

The Mats and layers for inside the base card measure

Mats:- 5 1/2 by 8

Layers 5 1/4 by 7 3/4

You need 4 pieces of card measuring 1/2 by 2 inch. These are to create the mechanism to hold the insert. Score these at 1/4, 1/2, 1 1/4, 1 3/4. Fold them valley, mountain, mountain, valley. The shortest fold needs to go in the centre and these need adhering at the centre ( see video for position)

The centre insert had glue added down the fold and onto these little tabs

Two pieces of card were cut measuring 1 1/2 by 9 inch and were scored at 1 1/2, 3, 4 1/2, 6, 7 1/2. These were folded valley, mountain, valley, mountain, valley and adhered on 

Mats measure 1 1/4 by 1 1/4

Layers measure 1 by 1

The images was stamped onto white card and then the silicone mat. The silicone mat was turned over and pressed onto the white card to create the reverse stamp. These were coloured and fussy cut out before being adhered onto the insert

The sentiment from the papercraft society box was stamped and fussy cut out and added to the inside of the card

The front of the card was decorated using

Mat measuring  5 1/2 by 8 

Layer 5 1/4 by 7 3/4.

To create the sentiment I cut it out and drew around the die before fussy cutting it out to create a shadow 

The same size measurements were used to create a panel on the back for the message
