Shadow Box

Time for a new release over at Sweet November Stamps and can you believe it is time for the Halloween release already?? No, me neither, I have not had my summer holiday yet!!

As always Amy, over at Sweet November Stamps has not disappointed and the release is jam packed full of fabulous designs. For those in the UK, you can grab the full collection from Crafty Purple Frog, the UK's exclusive stockist.

I thought a floating shadow box would be perfect to add to the spookiness of Halloween

There is an Instagram hop going on, with the chance to win some fabulous prizes. The YouTube hop starts tomorrow so we sure to check back, I will edit this post with the link once it is live

Cardmaking Instructions

Begin with 2 sheets of purple card measuring 7 by 6 1/2 and on the long edge score at 1, 1 1/2, 6, 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 inch

A rectangle die was used in one of the sheets of card in the large panel in the middle

The smallest of the 2 scalloped dies was cut in black card and the same die that was used in the last step was used to cut a rectangle in the middle. The frame was then adhered onto the card panel

The centre background was created by cutting a piece of alcohol marker friendly card to 6 by 4 1/4 inch and using Copic markers C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, C0. This was adhered onto the card base

2 pieces of the digital paper was cut measuring 3/4 by 6 1/4 and these were adhered onto the edges of the front panel

The images were stamped coloured and fussy cut out. The sign post was adhered onto acetate. I decided where I wanted this to go and using Y11, Y00, Y000 but a glow in the background tree scene

The acetate panel was then glued onto the right edge

The front panel was glued on to create the shadow box and the witch figure added

The sentiment was heat embossed in white on black card, fussy cut around and then mounted onto orange and again fussy cut around. Before being stuck onto the top of the shadow box

The front panel was then finished with the glow in the dark ghosts out of the shaker mix
