I have been experimenting recently with shaped dimensional cards. This was what initially started my crafting journey but I quickly fell in love with my Copic markers and colouring and the actual paper crafting part took a back seat. I had convinced myself it was too difficult but it really is not.
For todays card I used:-
Patterned Papers from Hunkydory Foxy and friends paper pad
Wow Embossing powder in green
Stamps and dies from Made to Surprise. These were part of a papercraft society box a long long time ago. I think it was box 10 ( they are currently on 50ish)
3 Sheets of coloured card
Foam tape
Stickles glitter glue
Glossy Accents
Dew Drop Embellishments
Double sided tape
Acetate
Creative Craft Keyworker Thank you sentiment stamp set
Instructions:-
I begun by cutting the coloured card to give me the following sizes
1 x 6x7 inch
2 x 6x6 inch
2 x 5x5 inch
1 x 6x4 inch
With the 6 inch side at the top of the score board these were all scored at 1 1/4, 2 1/2, 3 3/4 and 5 inch.
The 5 inch wide panel was scored in the same way
The 5 x 5 panel was then rotated 90 degrees and scored between the middle 2 previously scored marks every 5/8th of an inch. (See video link if unsure). These score marks were then cut down. (See image below)
Patterned paper was cut to 1x4 3/4 inch and this was glued onto the 2 intact panels on both of the 5x5 pieces of card
Double sided taped was added onto every other of the runs I have cut in the middle and then these were adhered onto the patterned paper (See video for guidance)
To ensure that the card pops back out once taken out of the envelope I adhered acetate onto the inside panels. 4 pieces were cut to 1x41/4 inch and double sided taped added to coincide with the runs still standing.
These two panels were then placed to one side and the other 3 were glued to make towers.
Begin by laying the 7 inch tall one flat and gluing the 2 6 inch tall ones into the middle
The 2 with the acetate panels are added next, again lining them up in the middle
The shortest one is then glued on 2 sides and added to the middle
Patterned paper was cut to 1x3 3/4 inch ( x 2) , 1x5 3/4 inch (x2), 1x3/4 inch (x6) 1x 3/8th inch (x10).
These were glued on as so
The image was stamped, coloured and die cut out and adhered using a piece of card 1/2 inch x 3 inch. This was scored at 1/2, 1, 2, 2 1/2 inch and glued over the front fold on the card base. The image was then added to this
The thank you sentiment was heat embossed and then fussy cut out. This was mounted onto a sheet of blue card using foam tape and again fussy cut around before being added using the same technique as the flowers
