Trellis Card

The trellis cards that I have seen before have all been full front trellis cards but I thought what about if we have a split front trellis card? This would work perfectly with most large flower or bird stamps and requires just one fold and a few strips of paper. No special dies or a die cutting machine

There is an easy to follow tutorial up o my YouTube Channel

Card Making Instructions

Begin with a sheet of card to form the card base measuring 5 1/2 by 6 1/2 inch. This wants scoring on the long side at 5 1/2. Fold and burnish this

2 strips were cut measuring 5 1/2 by 1/2 inch

On the inside of the flap you have created on the card base I made a small mark at 1/2 inch and 1 1/2 inch. The purpose of these is line up the vertical parts of the trellis. The 2 strips from the step above were then glued at these marks

A further 5 pieces of card measuring 2 2/4 by 1/2 inch were cut and these were weaved over one of the vertical strips and under the next

A piece of patterned card measuring 5 inch by 5 inch was placed inside

The bird was stamped coloured and die cut out and the sentiment was stamped in the momento dew drop ink in Grape Jelly. The corners were rounded on the sentiment and it was mounted onto teal card before both were adhered onto the card front

A small gem was placed on each crossing on the trellis and the top panel was finished with nuvo drops
